We are delighted to announce that sculptor Suzie Zamit is coming back to the Mudworks to teach a portrait modelling course over two days in November. The workshops - with a life model - will take place from 10am-4pm over the weekend. Refreshments and lunch are included in the fee. "Working from a life model we will learn how to construct a head on a simple armature base over a busy weekend intensive. Covering anatomy, use of different tools, measuring with callipers, and finishing / surface techniques. I will demonstrate how to hollow out for firing which will need to be done when pieces are leather hard. Scale will be approx 1/3 life-size To bring: any basic modelling tools but I have a small selection of curved wooden tools to share. Cancellation Policy
If necessary, courses are refundable up to two weeks prior to the first session. Cancellations one week prior to the first session will receive a 50% refund. Any cancellations after this point are non-refundable. The Mudworks reserves the right to allow course transfers in exceptional circumstances and at their discretion. Please note that at least 80% capacity is required in order for courses to run. In the event of low course numbers, a full refund will be given.
